The Department of Government and Politics in collaboration with its Center for International Development and Conflict Management (CIDCM) now offers a Minor in International Development and Conflict Management. All students are eligible to apply. There are currently over 60 students in the program from over 10 different majors.

The Minor in International Development and Conflict Management is a 19-credit, undergraduate program of instruction for students aspiring to a profession in the fields of conflict resolution, international development, and humanitarian relief.

The Minor will

  • Give you key skills that will make you stand out to potential employers.
  • Give you a specialized certification that will demonstrate your commitment to the field.
  • Allow you to learn and interact with a small group of like-minded students.
  • Give you access to one-on-one mentoring with development professionals.

The curriculum has both in-class and out-of-class elements. It is designed to be completed in one-year, but students can take two years to complete it.
