Chapter 2: This lesson will add to the basics that were learned in lesson one.  It will extend your knowledge of Microsoft Word, teaching you how to use editing and formatting commands available to you in Word.

  •  Selecting Text with the mouse, double clicking, and select all.
  •  Moving and copying text using the cut, copy, and paste commands.
  •  Undo, redo, and repeat to alter document.
  •  Find, replace, and go to which allows you to search your document.
  •  Scrolling your document using the mouse and keyboard.
  •  Use the various view options and zoom feature to shrink or enlarge your document.
  •  Typography: Typefaces, fonts, and special features.
  •  Page setup which allows you to change the format of your document.
  •  Paragraph formatting: Alignment, indents, page breaks, tabs, hyphenation, line spacing.
  • Borders and shading to add a professional look to your document.
