Roman R. (2003) Diffusion of Innovations as a Theoretical Framework for Telecenters, in Information Technology and International Development, Vol. 1, Issue 2 - Winter 2003, MIT Press
This paper suggests that diffusion theories could be a valid theoretical framework to help understand the process of diffusion and adoption of telecentres. After briefly review the core of the theory, the paper focuses on the three aspects of diffusion that are most pertinent for telecentres application: the perceived attribute of innovations, the communication aspect of the diffusion process and the consequences of innovation adoption.
